On Friday November 6th Hammer Time hosted a "Cupcake Cook-off" at the BeanCycle/Matter Bookstore to help pay for their home-base. People showed up in droves to taste-test the finest most wholesome, vegan, organic, alcoholic, delicious cupcakes Fort Collins had to offer. The entries and attendance was phenomenal as the cup-cake trend surged through the bookstore with oceanic force. Here are some visual highlights. If I could provide a virtual tasting through the internet I would. Where is Willy Wonka when you need him?

Garrett Carr at Hammer Time! was pleased with the attendance. He says, “We had 21 total business, organizations, and individuals who showed and judging by how man people voted about 150 people who paid and voted.” He expressed his sincere gratitude in a Facebook post to everyone stating, “It's rare to see people so stoked over anything, so for everyone who came out and put any effort in, especially those who didn't win shit,” Garrett went on to type-shout, “WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW INFINITELY AWESOME YOU ARE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BAKING AND GIVING US MONEY. EVERYONE ONE OF YOU ARE THE EMBODIMENT OF FUCKING GREAT.” The event raised nearly $700 for the co-op and should keep them stocked with hardware, and help keep the snow off their heads a while longer.
